Goose and the latest craftiness...

This is what you get as a result of a goose helping you make chocolate muffins.

Mr. independent wants to do EVERYTHING by himself. He found a pair of stretchy pants of Berea's and thought he'd try them on.

A serious tractor pose.

Tryin on daddy's boots.

A collection of reusable baggies made from Mary Englebrite fabrics.

A view of the baggies open with their velcro closures. Good for dry goods and some sandwhiches too.

Berea came dressed for a party on Monday as she turned 5 months old. She wore her cute little hat. Angus thought he'd celebrate by wearing the hat too. :)

Peach Salsa

My friend Monica let me tag along and pick peaches at her friends home in Woodlawn, TN just fifteen minutes from my house. It was fun and the peaches were tastey so I decided to make some peach salsa since the peaches weren't real big or as juicy as the ones I got last year in Michigan. Here's the process...

Time for a bath.

A rude awakening in the ice bath after a quick soak in the boiling hot water.

It's not very visable but after the peaches were boiled for a minute or two the water turned a delicate peachy orange color.

I peeled 24 small peaches.

I saved the peels for future use. I made home made fresh peach iced tea. Yum!

The finished product. Home made peach salsa!

A quick visit with Great Aunt Darliene

After the 3 day walk Angus and I took advantage of time and travel to visit my Aunt Darliene for a night and day. My grandparents house where she lives is such a warm and inviting place. I've always felt the safest and most comfortable there. Probably because love abounded there greatly. (Not that it doesn't abound other places too just in a different special way there) Here's soome pictures of the great time we had together.

Taking a milk break from playing basketball.

Curious about doing the dishes. Too bad he didn't want to help.

Story time before bed.

His favorite game. Throwing and catching balloons.

Some added fun with a whistle/light combo that my sister brought to the walk.

Yumminess at 31

So it was my birthday and there was no cake in sight but a huge craving for "ice cream cake" from my friend Karen's blog. It was then I decided to go for it and just make it myself. I added some chopped up reeses cups in with the regular chocolate. I used Breyers ice cream but would change that to use our local dairy ice cream, purity brand because it's a lot tastier. Since Scott isn't a huge chocolate fan like I am I found a vanilla and chocolate ice cream. It was quite yummy and I was glad to share it with OCF the next night too.
YUMMY ICE CREAM CAKE!

Ready to chop the candy after I beat the graham crackers while still in their package.

What it looked like finished.

Scott's favorite birthday pose, the Warner cake pose like we would do with grandma's cakes every year. Man I miss those chocolate cakes!

Bonus pics of the frosty blackberries I froze and made into a topping for angel food cake the week before for small group Bible study.

Blog Blockage

Sorry no new blogs lately. It seems I've hit a blog blockage. Many things to update: The 3 day walk, amusing things of the Goose and crafty things. In the mean time here's a pic...

Angus just loves Berea's company. :)
