Catch Up...

It's amazing in just a few weeks or really in the time S has been home that so much can change and A can grow so big! You can see in the last picture how he is growing into a little boy. It truly amazes me.
One piece of news is that I have accepted the volunteer position as FRG leader (family readiness group). It's a big job helping families keep informed about what is going on in their soldiers life in the company and ways to help them succeed, teach families new things and be a support. Our company is the biggest in the battalion currently home to 208 soldiers. We're praying for a co leader to volunteer soon so we can both go through the training and be a great team.
I am facing the blahs of feeling like we are going to be separated again as we're in the same time line we were in a year ago and the same thing the year before that where we're together and into a groove as a family and then we are separated again. There's a possibility of another separation before another deployment in Dec/Jan. But we're trusting and clinging to the promise that God won't give us more than we can handle.
Speaking of providing for our needs... We recieved a refund from our taxes and decided to buy a bigger wooden shed rather than our two little metal ones. We put an ad up on Craigslist and within that day someone was willing to sell us their shed for almost half of what it was originally. A gentleman advertised on craigslist to move it and he came over and took care of it yesterday. It was an amazing site to see this big building being moved around by this man and his special trailer. All in all we saved about a thousand dollars.
We are taking a trip to see Mike and Leslie and the boys in Chicago and go to the House of Blues to see one of our favorite bands, Great Big Sea in concert. We're celebrating 8 years of dating together this year. It's crazy and incredible to see what God has done through those years. I definately love my husband more and in more ways than I ever thought possible when we started dating 2/14/01. :)

Bad Hair Day!

I'd like to think this picture shows A blowing kisses but he just stuffed his face full of crackers. :)

The sun was shining through the windows and made his face shine.

I just woke up and am enjoying some crackers and you want me to smile?

Kelsey came to babysit and we played with rocks in the backyard. Daddy had some wood that made me look at my rocks differently.
e
Sorting rocks.

Mama you want a cracker?

First experience painting with tadoodles that Grandma Siv sent for valentine's day. He had a blast. And even has some now to play with in the bath tub. I think he got some creativity from me. :)

He wasn't quite sure if he liked them more as little people with faces or markers.

He preferred green most of the time.

This is what happens when you purposely throw your peas on the floor. You have to pick them up one by one. (So much for discipline. He thought it was a game and dumped them out again so he could put them one by one in the bowl.)

This is what happens when I'm trying to cook dinner and he wants my attention. He empties out the baking/gadget drawer. He's so pleased to discover new things now that he can see over the top of the drawer and not just feel with his hands.

This face was produced by me coming at him with the camera.

Counting...1...2....3 (do do do do tree!)

I'm so excited about the cherry pitter!

He looks so grown up here. My wee one isn't so tiny anymore.
