Mama's helper

I've been trying to integrate Goose into every day tasks to keep his interest peaked and willingness to help me begin. Yesterday we had a baking adventure making Daddy some blueberry muffins and oatmeal cookies. We had fun!

Yummy!

Stir stir stir~

Hooray for Raisins! (I was surprised he wasn't so mad that we had to put them in the cookies and not eat them right away)

Standing on the step stool to help. (Amazing how our stove can function as a counter too)

More stirring action...

All this baking is making me hungry...how about an apple?

I had to take the crumb topping mixture away because he kept wanting to use the fork to eat it and not mash the butter into the other ingredients.

He climbed up and down the step stool in order to put his own clothes in the washing machine. The reward was me letting him play in the water as it filled the machine.

My apprentice helping me hammer some snaps onto a new bib.

The silly "CHHHHHEEEEEEEESE!" face

He loves to draw and color especially in the mornings after breakfast.

He found this OJ container after I put it in the recycling stuff. Trying to get one last drop!

He got it!

I'm impressed. I have a four-year-old who is often VERY willing to help, but not always so willing to listen and follow directions... hence, Mommy gets very frustrated. He helps make mac & cheese sometimes, though, and I'm teaching him to clean the bathroom sink and set the table.
