Angus enjoying some bubbles on the back deck.
He's not quite sure what to think of them and some times chases after them.
Boy am I sick with a rotten cold and Angus is such a gracious son. He hardly whined and cried when I sat on the couch for most of the day. He himself didn't feel good with more molars and eye teeth popping through his lower gums. We enjoyed cuddling together on the couch watching signing time and he just sat there and loved me. If all it took were kisses and hugs to make a person feel physically better I'd be on top of the world. :)
We also enjoyed Grandma and Grandpa Beckett this week. They came down to park their camper for the summer so they can return in the winter and head to Alabama for a few weeks. Angus really loved playing with them and reading books. Grandma played with him a lot outside on the swing and Grandpa played with the hats. He also showed Grandma how he can sit in his little chair and has showed me over and over the past few days that he likes to sit there and read his books and watch signing time.
We took our first trip to the ER on Friday night. His little bum was ridden with diaper rash so bad that he wouldn't stop crying and it was almost an open wound. We waited for 5 long hours to be seen and told it was a yeast infection due to the antibiotic augmentin he was taking to get rid of his ear infection. Boy will I ask if there are alternative medicines or if we can treat with ibuprofen instead because it really bothered me that he pooped so often and so runny adding to his discomfort of the yeast infection. It's been two full days of treatment and it looks better. Yesterday was an off day for him due to me taking the Praxis exams (2 out of 4 done to become a certified teacher) most of the day with two different babysitters and less sleep than usual and later naps. He even refused to take a bath which he usually enjoys. He was still in a lot of pain from his rash so he couldn't sit down. Thankfully tonight he was willing to sit down in the tub and get cleaned up.
I'm not sure what this week will hold. We're done with the antibiotics so that should help resolve most of our issues this week. Now if we could just get rid of these stinkin' colds!
